How to read peptide research

Preclinical vs. clinical: Cell and animal experiments help generate hypotheses; they do not establish outcomes in people.
Compound identity matters: A fragment, analog, or vendor product may not be equivalent to the exact substance investigated in a paper.
Purity isn't proof of safety: A certificate of analysis may describe tested identity or purity, but does not establish sterility, clinical benefit, or regulatory approval.
Look for stronger evidence: Check study design, sample size, controls, replication, conflicts of interest, and whether results were published in peer-reviewed literature.
